Greg Grinnell

Greg Grinnell is the Principal Managing Member of CADRE General Contractors, LLC, bringing more than 40 years of construction leadership experience across residential, multifamily, and hospitality projects throughout the western United States. Known for his reliability, technical expertise, and client-first approach, Greg has built a reputation for delivering well-managed projects through clear communication, disciplined execution, and accountability at every level.

Greg’s path into construction began early, working alongside his grandfather, a respected residential carpenter and contractor in Idaho. After graduating from high school, he completed formal training in construction technology and continued his education in business and engineering at the University of Utah and Boise State University, laying a strong technical and operational foundation for his career.

His early leadership roles were in the building materials and home improvement sector, where he spent more than a decade managing operations and construction-related initiatives for a major retail supplier in California and Idaho. Greg later co-founded a successful residential redevelopment company in Portland, Oregon, overseeing the acquisition, renovation, and sale of numerous residential properties. He subsequently launched his own general contracting firm, delivering custom homes, multifamily communities, and hospitality projects across the region.

Greg later led a venture-backed, technology-focused construction company in the Seattle market, gaining extensive experience integrating project management technology, operational systems, and scalable construction processes. In 2020, he founded CADRE General Contractors, LLC to unify his decades of hands-on construction experience with a modern, transparent, and systems-driven approach to project delivery.

Today, Greg leads CADRE with a focus on precision project management, proactive communication, and long-term client partnerships. Outside of work, he enjoys international travel, desert golf, and live music.

Andrew (Drew) Katona

Andrew (Drew) Katona has built his career at the intersection of construction, business development, and client trust. With more than a decade of experience in residential construction, he has worked across nearly every facet of the industry—including high-end design/build, ground-up construction, real estate development, and sales leadership—giving him a practical, big-picture understanding of how successful projects are conceived, managed, and delivered.

Before joining CADRE General Contractors, Drew held leadership roles at both established firms and fast-growing startups, where he was frequently brought in to build systems, grow revenue, and strengthen client relationships. He has guided homeowners through complex project decisions, managed multidisciplinary teams of designers, architects, and project managers, and negotiated contracts that balance scope, budget, and long-term value. Earlier in his career, he owned and operated a real estate investment company in Marin County, California, overseeing acquisitions, renovations, and sales while serving as a fiduciary for high-net-worth clients. His background also includes national sales leadership roles in SaaS and technology, further shaping his consultative approach, negotiation skills, and team leadership.

Drew is deeply engaged in the regional construction community. He is heavily involved with the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, where he has served on the Executive Committee and as Co-Chair of the Sales & Marketing Committee, contributing to industry advocacy, professional standards, and member engagement across the region.

As a Principal Member of CADRE, Drew is actively involved in company strategy, financial planning, operations, and business development, while remaining closely connected to project execution. He believes the strongest outcomes occur when clients feel informed, respected, and confident at every stage of the process, and he is known for being a steady, hands-on presence from the first conversation through project completion.

Outside of work, Drew serves as President of the Seattle Squash Racquets Association, a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on expanding access to the sport and supporting community and youth programming. He also spends the majority of his time outside of work with his young son, Zolton, a role he considers his most important.

At his core, Drew is a builder of projects, teams, and long-term relationships. He brings a disciplined business mindset, a collaborative leadership style, and a deep respect for the craft of construction to every project CADRE delivers.
